| Abstract: | The paper explores the cognitive approach to the scientific discourse analysis. The semantic capacity of written (scientific) texts as linguistic evidence for scientific knowledge is discussed. Much attention is given to the notional framework of scientific texts: the conceptual structure of terminological systems is described in terms of frames and semantic nets. Rendering these explicit helps to prepare the ground for further integrating this approach into educational process. |
