Abstract: The effect of Cr on hydrophobicity of Al has been investigates in rapidly solidified Al-1.0Cr (at. %) alloys by means of SPEM, AFM and distilled water CA measurements. The results demonstrate the crucial importance of both chemical composition and surface morphology of the control of their wettability.
