Alternative abstract: Currently, the telecommunications sector in Belarus and around the world is preparing to introduce a new fifth generation of mobile cellular communications. 5G technology will not only provide the best quality communication services, but also serve as a platform for the further development of various sectors of the economy. The expected technological innovations of the fifth generation standard will lead to an increase in the throughput of the networks of mobile operators, an increase in the data transfer rate, a reduction in the response delay time, and also the emergence of innovative digital services. This will contribute to economic development through productivity growth, automation and the introduction of new technologies in various areas of the economy and human activities.
