Abstract: Within the model based on the SU(2)L × SU(2)R × U(1)B−L gauge group (leftright symmetric model- LRM) the influence of the Higgs sector on the value of the muon magnetic moment (MMM) is investigated. The contributions caused by the doubly charged Higgs boson ∆ (−−) 2 are found. The obtained value of the MMM is the function of the mass of ∆ (−−) 2 boson and the triplet Yukawa coupling constants. We demonstrate that at the definite values of these parameters the LRM provides an explanation of the E989 experiment at Fermilab.
