Abstract: The article presents the electromagnetic radiation reflection and transmission characteristics in the frequency range of 0.7–17.0 GHz of multilayer microwave absorbers. These absorbers consist of modules with a relief surface made of a mixture of powdered activated charcoal and a binder (polyvinyl acetate dispersion aqueous solution or polyurethane mastic). According to the presented characteristics, electromagnetic radiation reflection and transmission coefficients values in the frequency range of 0.7–17.0 GHz of the specified absorbers vary, respectively, within the limits from –2.0 to –18.0 dB and from –10.0 to –40.0 dB. The studied absorbers can be used for wall cladding or creating internal partitions in server rooms. Using such absorbers, it is possible to solve the practical problem of ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of server equipment and other information processing equipment.
