| Abstract: | This paper examines the cybersecurity implications of hidden data collection practices in mobile applications. By analyzing the economic incentives behind data monetization, technical permission-exploitation mechanisms, and resulting cybersecurity risks, the study argues that covert data collection constitutes a systemic vulnerability within the mobile ecosystem. Practical mitigation strategies for end users are also identified. |
